Leading Congress leaders from Maharashtra stated on Monday that the Gujarat Police had stopped party members’ vehicles as they travelled to Surat to show their support for Rahul Gandhi. A total of 87 people were held, including 51 from Maharashtra, when they were travelling to Surat in at least a dozen vehicles to support their leader Rahul Gandhi, according to Navsari superintendent of police Karan Raj Vaghela.
