Union Minister for Heavy Industries & Steel, H.D. Kumaraswamy, expressed satisfaction with the progress of various central and state-sponsored schemes in Arunachal Pradesh’s Leparada district during a visit on Sunday.
Chairing a review meeting in Basar, Kumaraswamy praised the efforts of government departments, urging officials to work in coordination for the district’s comprehensive development. “Arunachal holds tremendous potential in agriculture and horticulture, and I will ensure the concerned ministries extend full support to local farmers,” he stated.
The minister also visited the ICAR-KVK farm in Gori village, where ongoing research in agriculture, poultry, and animal husbandry was showcased. Local scientists briefed him on how these initiatives are benefiting farmers in the region.
In meetings with local panchayat leaders, women, and village elders, Kumaraswamy reaffirmed the central government’s dedication to the development of the North East, emphasizing its commitment to uplifting the region.
