Haier India Support India’s ‘Silent Performers’

The global leader in Home Appliances & Consumer Electronics Haier India announced its partnership with the Bengaluru based Kickstart FC’s Women’s Team for two years – 2022 and 2023. The partnership is an extension of the company’s continuous focus to acknowledge the determination and success of Indian women achievers and athletes who continue to perform big but silently, denoting them as ‘Silent Performers’.

The aim is to support the players by providing the necessary equipment and resources required for improving their training process to improve their skills and enhance their overall performance on the field. Most of the players are from humble backgrounds, underprivileged sections which sometimes becomes a deterrent to passion for football. The team is currently competing in the fifth edition of the Indian Women’s League which will see 12 women’s teams vie for the top position across three grounds in Odisha (Kalinga Stadium, Capital Stadium and Battalion Stadium) from April 15th to May 26th 2022. First introduced in 2019 with India’s ace sportswomen – Dipa Karmakar, Hima Das and Simranjit Kaur, and then followed by ‘Perform Big, Silently’ in 2021, featuring Dr. Arunima Sinha; India’s first woman commando trainer–Dr. Seema Rao; Indian Female Chess Grandmaster-Harika Dronavalli; and Female Mountain Biker-Anissa Lamare.

The President of Haier Appliances India Mr. Satish NS said, “Haier seeks to support and provide a better platform to women in sports and ensure that underprivileged girls are provided with the required skills to be able to become self-reliant and self-sustainable tomorrow.”
