On Wednesday, Dibrugarh University observed 21st convocation, 2023. Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankar , Assam Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma and other ministers were invited to the convocation ceremony.
The VP of India urged the students to be agent of change and also motivated students with his valuable speech stressing on topics like education, bringing equality in the society, progress and many more.
“Nothing can change societal conditions more than people getting educated,” the VP stated. He also urged the passing out students, “Have a dream but do not be just a dreamer, be a doer.” The VP congratulated the passing out students and conferred the D. Sc. and D.Litt. degrees (Honoris Causa) to eminent personalities of Assam and awarded degrees to students at the event.
