National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Common Services Centers recently. This collaboration is for the delivery of services related to various skill development programmes to youth in rural and remote areas of the country. Under the partnership, CSCs at the village level will act as a Skill Desk, creating awareness about the various available skill development programmes. Fresh Covid-19 cases come down to 977 in Delhi

The number of fresh Covid-19 cases in Delhi dipped to 977 on Friday from 1,104 on Thursday with 56, 444 tests conducted during the past 24 hours across the national capital. According to the latest Delhi government’s health bulletin, the infection positivity rate stood at 1. 73 per cent. The positivity rate was 2.09 per cent. The city lost another 12 lives due to the virus infection, taking the cumulative count of such fatalities to 26,047, it said. There were 12 such casualties yesterday.

India reports 13% dip in new Covid cases

India reported 58,077 fresh Covid infections in a span of 24 hours on Friday, which is around 13 per cent lower than those reported on previous day. On Thursday, the country had seen 67,084 new Covid cases. In the last 24 hours, a total 657 deaths were reported, taking the toll to 5,07,177, said the Union Health ministry on Friday morning. The global coronavirus caseload has topped 400 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 5.76 million and vaccinations to over 10.09 billion, according to Johns Hopkins University.
