Omicron scare: Section 144 extended in Mumbai till December 31 to restrict Christmas, New Year’s celebrations

An order imposing section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) within the Mumbai commissionerate limits from Thursday was issued by the deputy commissioner of police (operations) on Monday. Delhi detected 51 fresh cases of Covid-19 out of 50,023 tests conducted throughout the national capital, according to the latest health bulletin issued by the Delhi government.
