Higher Education Must Progress with Clear, Purposeful Vision: Arunachal Governor

Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (retired) KT Parnaik emphasized the need for universities to foster innovation and purposeful progress in higher education during the 23rd Conference of Higher and Technical Education. He urged institutions to focus research on regional challenges including sustainable agriculture, biodiversity conservation, and disaster management, particularly in areas like Himalayan ecology and renewable energy. The Governor recognized contributions to higher education with several awards and released a book on the Tangsa Tribe’s practices. He advocated for integrating modern technologies such as AI and robotics into curricula to enhance education access for students in remote areas and encouraged the nurturing of entrepreneurship through innovation hubs and incubation centers.
