Marking 75 years in education, the Hinduja Group reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence, announcing plans to transition Hinduja College into a deemed university. At the celebratory event, Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, urged Indian corporates to invest in specialized educational institutions, emphasizing that philanthropy in education should not be driven by commercialization.
Ashok Hinduja, Chairman of Hinduja Foundation, outlined a vision to empower one million students by 2030 through initiatives like Road to School and Road to Livelihood. The college, currently serving over 6,000 students, will establish a Skill Development Centre and introduce new courses in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Climate Finance, and Export-Import Management. A state-of-the-art campus redevelopment is expected to triple capacity by 2028.
With NAAC A+ accreditation and autonomous status under NEP 2020, Hinduja College’s transformation aligns with India’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. The event also saw Maharashtra Governor Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan and the Vice President felicitating outstanding students.
