The new season of HistoryTV18’s Digital-First Series #RoadTrippinWithRocky with India’s beloved foodie and traveller extraordinaire Rocky Singh. This takes viewers on a scenic Road Trip through the ‘Jewel of India’, Manipur.
Viewers can follow his journey on a discovery of the state’s most popular food joints, ancient culture and hidden gems from 21st November to 25thNovember, across HistoryTV18’s and Rocky and Mayur’s social media accounts.
Bishnupur will be the starting point as Rocky embarks on a whirlwind5 day trip across Manipur to attend the iconic Manipur Sangai Festival. This 10-day long festival is organised every year by the government of Manipur. In this event he will be introduced to the authentic cuisine of the indigenous tribes like Kuki and Mizo and will catch a glimpse of their culture before heading back to Imphal. Rocky will spend three days in the capital city of Manipur, Imphal, experiencing the rich culture, traditions and cuisines of Manipur through musical and cultural programmes at the Bhagyachandra Open Air Theatre and the food festival. He will also visit the famous Ima Market, that’s run entirely by women, to try more local food and buying local handicrafts.
