HMSI Organised A Road Safety Campaign In Umden, Meghalaya

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) launched a National Road Safety Awareness Campaign in Umden, Meghalaya, aiming to promote safe riding habits. The two-day camp at St. Joseph H.S. School in Umden spread awareness to over 1800 students and staff, using age-appropriate learning programs to enhance road safety awareness.

HMSI’s National Road Safety Awareness program offers a scientifically designed learning module, with skilled instructors providing theory sessions on road signs, driver duties, riding gear, posture, and safe riding etiquette. A virtual riding simulator is used for practical learning, with over 100 possible dangers experienced before actual riding.

KikenYosoku Training (KYT) is an interactive session that enhances rider/driver sensitivity to danger and ensures safe driving behavior. Honda offers riding skills practice through slow activities and narrow planks, while providing educational games and quizzes for young students to learn road safety. Mr. Vinay Dhingra – Senior Director, HR, Admin, IT & Corporate Affairs, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said, “With this campaign, we aim to cultivate the right road safety habits amongst the new and upcoming riders as well as help them in understanding the importance of using the roads safely.”
