Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) conducted a large-scale educational campaign at Narayana School and Contai Public School in Contai, West Bengal. The initiative reached over 2,300 students and staff members, aiming to instill a sense of responsibility and safety among the region’s future road users. As two-wheeler usage surges across India, HMSI’s interactive sessions covered critical aspects like helmet usage, situational awareness, and safe driving behavior. With trained instructors leading the charge, the campaign combined theory with practical learning using simulators and danger prediction training (Kiken Yosoku Training), making road safety both engaging and impactful.
The Contai market responded positively to the campaign, with local educators and parents welcoming the initiative. Given the area’s growing two-wheeler population, especially among youth, stakeholders believe the campaign aligns well with the community’s need for improved road discipline.
This campaign is part of HMSI’s broader CSR goal of achieving zero traffic collision fatalities by 2050 and halving road deaths by 2030. Through tools like the E-Gurukul digital platform and on-ground engagement across India, HMSI continues to lead the charge in transforming young Indians into road safety ambassadors.
