Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone’s Fighter gets legal notice for kissing in uniform

Actor Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s starrer ‘Fighter’, directed by Siddharth Anand has found itself in legal trouble due to the contentious kissing scene performed between

Deepika Padukone who portrays the role of Squadron Leader Mini Rathore and Hrithik Roshan who plays Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania. Both the actors were portraying as members of an elite fighter pilots’ group in the Indian Air Force.

The contentious kiss was performed while the characters were wearing the Air Force uniforms. This portrayal has provoked criticism from an Indian Air Force officer, who has issued a legal notice to the production team.

The officer alleges that the depiction of the kiss, particularly in military attire, is a huge disrespect to the valour and sanctity of the uniform.

The legal notice was issued by an Air Force officer from Assam, Saumya Deep Das. “By utilizing this sacred symbol for a scene promoting personal romantic entanglements, the film grossly misrepresents its inherent dignity and devalues the profound sacrifices made by countless officers in service of our nation. Moreover, it normalizes inappropriate behaviour in uniform, setting a dangerous precedent that undermines the moral and ethical standards expected from those entrusted with safeguarding our borders,’ the notice read.
