“Protesting police officers in Bangladesh have agreed to drop their strike after being sure that most of their demands will be met,” media reports said on Monday.
The Bangladesh Police Subordinate Employees Association announced a strike on August 6 following a fight between police and students across the country through a large spread of protests against Sheikh Hasina’s government over the controversial job quota system.
