Hyundai Venue iMT & New ‘Sport Trim’ Launched In India.

Monsoons in Guwahati have a unique feel, especially en route to Shillong. Cloud-draped sky on the backdrop and driving around the twisties, Hyundai Motor India introduced us to the Venue SUV in May last year.
The sub-compact SUV, aimed to take a potshot at the popular Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, came with multiple powertrains, several feel-good features, which were in themselves segment-defining. A year down the line, Hyundai Venue has carved a following, clocking over one lakh sales in the period. The 62 per cent of Venue customers have preferred the petrol variants of the smallest SUV in Hyundai’s line-up.

Prices for the new Hyundai Venue models range from Rs 9.99 lakh for the iMT-equipped variant and goes up all the way to Rs 11.58 lakh for the top-spec Sport Trim model. All prices are ex-showroom (India).

Cashing in on the petrol, Hyundai on Venue’s first anniversary supplied iMT gearbox alongside a Sports trim.

The iMT gearbox on the Hyundai Venue combines the performance from a manual transmission, with the ease of a 2-pedal transmission. The iMT is the country’s first clutch-pedal-free manual transmission. The six-speed manual transmission unit features an electro-mechanically actuated clutch, offering seamless gearshifts.
