ICC World CUP 2023, India to play against New Zealand

On Wednesday, first semifinal for ICC World Cup 2023 is to take place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai between team India and New Zealand.

Indians have won nine successive matches and finished on top heading towards the semifinals and hoping to look to continue their winning streak all the way to the third World title.

Further, team India has stuck to playing 11 as all-rounder Hardik Pandya got injured and subsequently ruled out of the World Cup 2023. On the other hand, New Zealand has everyone fit to play.

Team India Captain Rohit Sharma said, “We wanted to change our combination when Hardik got injured. Before that, from the first game we tried to get the rest of the players to bowl. It was important to get the situation right. In the last game, we got the situation where we could try some things. So, it’s good. I mean, there are options, but I hope we don’t need them.”
