India-Nepal Bus Service Begins From Bengal’s Siliguri

After almost 2 long years, a private bus operator started the Siliguri-Kakkarvitta-Kathmandu bus service on Wednesday afternoon with the help of North Bengal State Transport Corporation (NBSTC). State Transport Minister Firhad Hakim inaugurated the bus.

The bus will run on a normal groundwork from Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus at 2 pm, cover 615 km and reach Kathmandu at 7 am the next day. Ticket price is Rs 1500 per person.

Anurag Aggarwal, an Indian bus operator, said the bus provider would help people travel to Nepal for tourism, medical and non-communal purposes.

Bharat Timsihna, a Nepalese bus operator, said, “We are absolutely happy to see that the authorities have launched the much-awaited bus service from Siliguri, West Bengal. It will help the people of every country. We have a very good and healthy relationship with India, and this will help us grow again.
