India partners with industry giants to boost workforce skills: Dharmendra Pradhan

India’s workforce is poised for a revolution as the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), announces 15 strategic partnerships with industry titans, heralding a new era in skill development. Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, underscored India’s commitment to meeting global demands by embracing the mantra of skilling, reskilling, and upskilling.

Aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Viksit Bharat by 2047,” these partnerships signify a significant step towards preparing India’s workforce, or “Amrit Peedhi,” for the Future of Work. Industry leaders such as Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, and Reliance Foundation have joined hands with NSDC to empower India’s youth with cutting-edge skills and knowledge.

Speaking at the event, Minister Pradhan emphasized the transformative role of digital initiatives in shaping India’s skilling ecosystem, making skills accessible anytime, anywhere. These collaborations aim not only to enhance employability but also to position India as a global hub for skilled talent. The partnerships, characterized by a multi-faceted and outcome-driven approach, resonate with international frameworks such as the G20 agenda, promoting public-private partnerships to strengthen learning outcomes and build a digital economy.
