India stated 2,897 new Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 4,31,10,586, while the fresh cases dipped to 19,494, according to the Union Health Ministry statistics updated.
The loss of life count climbed to 5,24,157 with 54 fresh fatalities, the information referred to today.
Active cases comprised 0.05 percent of total infections, while the nationwide COVID-19 recovery rate was 98.74 percent, the ministry said.
A decrease of 143 cases was recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours. According to the ministry, the day-to-day positivity rate was recorded as 0.95 percent and the weekly positivity charge was recorded as 0.82 percent.
