India student stabbed multiple times in Sydney

An Indian student from Assam was brutally beaten by iron rod by Khalistan supporters after the boy voiced opposition to Khalistani extremist activities. The attack took place in Sydney’s western suburb of Merrylands, targeted the student while he was on his way to work.

According to the reports, police took 25 years old, Benjamin Dodge Collings into custody, and charged him with criminal code assault an offence carrying a maximum sentence of 21 years in prison.

The victim’s friends said that his family is in Assam and does not have passports to travel to Australia.

Germanjit Singh Gill, the friend of the victim posted, “The person charged has been set out on bail whereas the poor man is fighting for his life.”

“Someone assaulted our brother for no reason, and we can’t even ask questions? We are harnessing community support to help the victim,” he added.
