India reports massive daily spike rate of new cases

 In India new cases have begun to surge with even  the deaths have remained low. Where Mumbai recorded one fatality , Delhi recorded zero deaths due to Covid-19. The new variant has also resulted in high hospitalisation, even in countries with high vaccination numbers. The national capital on Wednesday had recorded 923 fresh Covid cases, the highest daily rise since May 30, as the positivity rate again breached the 1 per cent-mark (1.29 per cent).

 On Tuesday Sun Pharma said, its subsidiary has received authorization for emergency use from the Drugs Controller General of India to manufacture and market a generic version of MSD and Ridgeback's antiviral drug molnupiravir under the brand name Molxvir in India.
