An Air India Express plane with registration number VT-AXX working flight IX-355 from Calicut to Dubai was diverted to Muscat. According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the flight was diverted once during the cruise when a burning smell was detected from a vent in the forward galley. This is one of the many incidents of technical glitches faced by flights to and from India.
