India’s para-athletes will compete in the 2025 International Para-Athletics Championship

Three outstanding para-athletes from Arunachal Pradesh have been chosen to compete for the country in the 2025 International Para Athletics Championship, PCI is pleased to announce. Held from February 2-4 in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, this international festival of physical prowess and tenacity is sure to rank among the best athletic events in the world. Likha Nipa, Techi Sonu, and Techi Datam are among the chosen athletes. These athletes are chosen based on their exceptional performance and commitment.

Techi Datam, who is in the F-46 category, will compete in the shot put and discus throw. Techi Sonu will compete in the F-44 category, however she also competes in the same events. Likha Nipa, a talented sprinter, will participate in the T-13 100- and 200-meter competitions. This further demonstrates Arunachal Pradesh’s growing prominence as a venue for para-athletic achievement. On January 30, the players will depart for the United Arab Emirates. in order to give them adequate time to become used to the tournament.

The Althiqah Club for the Disabled in Sharjah is hosting the competition. Para-athletes from around the globe are competing in this event, which has been approved by World Para Athletics. The three’s commitment and assistance are much appreciated by the Paralympic Association of Arunachal, which highlights the value of inclusive sports activities for people with disabilities. Indian representation on the international scene is increased by their involvement in the tournament, a much-anticipated event.
