Inside IndiaSkills 2024, where talent meets triumph

IndiaSkills National Competition 2024 concluded its four-day extravaganza at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, heralding 58 champions ready to make their mark on the world stage. From May 15th to 19th, the event showcased the best of India’s vocational talent, spanning from age-old crafts to cutting-edge technologies.

Odisha emerged as the powerhouse, boasting an impressive haul of 17 Gold, 13 Silver, 9 Bronze, and 12 Medallion for Excellence, followed closely by Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. But beyond the numbers lies a tapestry of stories — of grit, passion, and the pursuit of excellence.

Distinguished luminaries, including Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and celebrated filmmaker Padmashri Shri Ramesh Sippy, graced the closing ceremony, applauding not just the winners but the spirit of camaraderie and collaboration that permeated the event. Dr. Nirmaljeet Singh Kalsi, Chairman of NCVET, lauded the competition’s inclusivity and the journey of participants from grassroots to glory. Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC, emphasized the transformative power of vocational training in shaping India’s workforce of tomorrow.
