Jampui and Bungnung Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in Tripura’s North District have received the prestigious National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification from the Union Health Ministry for 2024-2025, marking a milestone in healthcare excellence for the state.
Established in 1990 and 1996 respectively, both PHCs underwent rigorous evaluations by a Union Health Ministry inspection team. Scoring over 70% in the final assessment, the centres met the stringent benchmarks set for NQAS certification, reflecting their commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services.
Dr. Guddu Debbarma, Medical Officer-in-Charge of Jampui PHC, and Dr. Arnab Das, Medical Officer-in-Charge of Bungnung PHC, credited the achievement to the dedication of their teams. “This recognition motivates us to sustain and improve our healthcare delivery,” said Dr. Debbarma.
