The first session of the all-India engineering entrance exam JEE-Main, scheduled for January 24-31, overlaps with the 12th state board practical exam.
“While focusing on tough exams like JEE-Main, we need to focus on engineering entrance exam topics. I don’t think the National Testing Agency (NTA) has discussed the possible schedule with the state boards. Chaos seems imminent,” said the JEE-Main candidate.
According to sources, candidates are demanding the postponement of the JEE-Main entrance exam. The hashtag “postponeJEEMains” is trending on Twitter. Although CBSE has not announced the exam schedule yet.
The Assam Council of Higher Secondary Education (AHSEC) announced the board exam schedule on December 14, a day before the NTA released the JEE-Main calendar.
