JLR India reported its best H1 performance with record sales of 2,356 units and a YoY growth of 105% from April to September 2023. The strong growth was driven by record sales in both quarters, with Q2 experiencing a 108% YoY growth and 1,308 units of retails.
The order book in FY24 has grown consistently, with H1 closing order book increasing by 90% compared to last year. Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Defender are experiencing strong demand, accounting for 72% of the total order book. Mr. Rajan Amba, Managing Director, JLR India, said, “We will continue to introduce new products that are best suited to meet the discerning needs of our customers and invest in strengthening our brand desire and client experience.”
The 24MY Range Rover Velar and rising demand for Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Defender have contributed to strong sales performance in H1, with the Defender being the best-selling model, and JLR certified pre-owned business growing 83% in H1 FY24.
