Kai India set up Children Libraries in two schools in Imphal

Kai India, the Indian arm of the legendary 114 years old Japanese group – KAI, supported libraries in two schools of Imphal, the capital of Manipur. The community empowerment program called Kai India Children Library Program focuses on the development of sustained reading habit among school children. Under this program, Kai India set up library corners with over 500 books each in two schools namely Eastern Ideal High School, Imphal East and Keishamthong High School, Imphal West.

This annual book and library engagement plan has been specially crafted for children, and as well as for teachers which includes reading activities like Read-Aloud for children and orientation program for teachers focusing on the overall operations and activities related to library.

Kai India Children Library program aims to provide access to children in government schools to high quality children literature as well as provide support for building sustained reading habit. KAI India firmly believe that sustained reading habit and exposure to fine literature goes a long way in empowering community and building successful future of children.
