Kamlesh Paswan celebrates Adi community’s agricultural festival

Union Minister of State for Rural Development Kamlesh Paswan announced a three-fold increase in the budget allocation for the region, aimed at accelerating its growth in line with other parts of the country. Speaking at the Solung festival in Ruksin, East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, Paswan reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to fast-tracking projects in the Northeast, following the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Significant progress is already visible in sectors such as power, education, healthcare, agriculture, tourism, and infrastructure development,” Paswan stated.

He urged collaborative efforts to ensure that government schemes reach those in need, saying, “We must strive to deliver services to the poorest and most remote citizens.” Paswan, who expressed a special connection with Arunachal Pradesh, was honored to participate in the agricultural festival of the Adi community. He encouraged promoting cultural tourism to showcase the state’s rich heritage and urged the youth to preserve their cultural traditions.

Arunachal East MP Tapir Gao, also present at the event, appealed to the community to safeguard traditional attires and customs while raising concern over the growing drug abuse problem. He called for a united fight to protect future generations.
