Kenvue’s dual-brand hydration strategy signals growing focus on preventive health consumption

Kenvue has introduced a dual-brand hydration strategy in India with ORSL and the newly launched eRZL, reflecting the increasing policy and public health emphasis on preventive healthcare and nutrition-based wellness solutions. The company’s “Double Power for Complete Hydration” initiative aims to address both diarrheal dehydration and everyday hydration, aligning with broader national health priorities that encourage improved awareness of dehydration-related risks.

Under the framework, ORSL will continue as the company’s oral rehydration salts portfolio based on the World Health Organization formula, available in ready-to-drink and powder formats for diarrheal dehydration management. Effective January 2026, the company has rebranded its electrolyte drinks portfolio as eRZL, designed for everyday hydration and recovery from fatigue, heat exhaustion, muscle cramps, and mild to moderate dehydration. The improved composition provides faster hydration with 1.4 times more electrolytes and eight times less sugar, combining sodium, potassium, chloride, vitamin C, and real fruit juice to meet consumer demand for healthier hydration alternatives.

Company leadership stated that the initiative supports growing consumer preference for low-sugar wellness products while expanding access to scientifically formulated hydration solutions across urban and semi-urban markets.
