Keyless Convenience: Samsung Wallet Adds Mahindra Electric Origin SUV Support

Samsung, India’s leading consumer electronics brand, has launched Digital Car Key support for Mahindra Electric Origin SUVs through Samsung Wallet, allowing Galaxy users to lock, unlock, and start their vehicles directly using their smartphones. With this integration, Mahindra becomes the first Indian OEM to adopt Samsung’s Digital Car Key technology, marking a milestone in the country’s connected mobility space.

The feature, built into Galaxy devices, also allows users to share their digital keys securely with family or friends for limited periods. MadhurChaturvedi, Senior Director of Services & Apps Business at Samsung India, said the collaboration reinforces Samsung’s vision of a connected and secure Galaxy ecosystem. Mahindra’s Automotive Division CEO, NalinikanthGollagunta, highlighted that the new feature enhances the premium experience of Mahindra’s XEV 9e and BE 6 eSUVs.

In Kolkata, tech-savvy car owners and premium smartphone users have shown growing enthusiasm for digital convenience. Industry experts say the feature could boost Mahindra’s appeal among urban customers in the city, where EV adoption and smartphone integration are accelerating rapidly. The Digital Car Key functionality will soon be available for select Mahindra eSUVs in India, backed by Samsung’s defense-grade Knox security for data and vehicle protection.
