Kohli pulled himself out of the Test series against England

Virat Kohli wanted to be by wife Anushka Sharma’s side during the birth of their second child. The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has taken a leave of absence from the Test series against England. James Anderson is disappointed not to get a chance to play against Kohli. England’s veteran Zore bowler called the matter shameful.Anderson is not getting a chance to fight 22 yards with Kohli in the five-Test series. Kohli was dismissed 10 times by the English fast bowler Anderson who was a bit disappointed with that. Again the former captain of India scored 331 runs against him.

The 41-year-old cricketer cannot accept the absence of Kohli in the series between the two countries. “Everybody always wants to play against the best players. It’s a shame that Kohli is not playing in this series. We have had a great rivalry over the years. Which we enjoy. Not just me, but as a team we like to play against the best in the world,” Anderson said. I didn’t get that chance this time.

“While Anderson is unhappy with Kohli’s absence, he thinks the England fans are happy. The veteran fast bowler said, “Kohli is a very big player. Our fans can be happy without him. But my view is different. You have to test yourself against the best. Kohli is someone who has been challenging for me to bowl to over the years. I think so. It’s really a shame that he didn’t play in this series.”
