Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Hon’ble Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Jal Shakti, has launched skill development initiatives in Tripura under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship’s Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. The initiative aims to equip the youth of Tripura with 100+ future skills in areas such as 3D additive manufacturing, drone technology, and data engineering.
Over 48,000 youth in Tripura will be skilled in the next three years, prioritizing on-the-job training and robust industry partnerships. The initiative aligns with the vision of ‘Naya Bharat’, which aims to nurture a generation that is the luckiest in the history of Independent India.
The Prime Minister’s vision envisions a Viksit Bharat 2047, empowered by skilled youth, and the initiative aims to empower individuals and propel the state towards a thriving future marked by economic prosperity and sustainable development. Vishwakarma Gurus from five trades were felicitated during the event, and two virtual centers were launched for training implementation.
