Legendary filmmaker-actor K Viswanath died in Hyderabad

Kasinadhuni Viswanath passed away at the age of 92. As per the resources film producer was not fit for short-term and was suffering from age-related issues. The filmmaker was also the recipient of Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

The other honours included 20 Nandi Awards, 10 Filmfare trophies, Padma Shri and five National Awards including the Lifetime Achievement award. Viswanath, who worked in around 50 films since the year 1965, was a popular filmmaker in the Telugu film industry. He had also worked in Hindi and Tamil cinema.

He appeared as a director with “Aatma Gowravam”, which featured Akkineni Nageswara Rao and won the Nandi Award for the best feature film. Bagavathi, Kuruthipunal, Seemasimham, Kakkai Siraginilae, Lakshmi Narasimha, Narasimha Naidu and Pandurangadu, Bagavathi, were other movies in which he debuted as well.
