The organizing committee for the Leitlangpui Music Festival 2024 met on Wednesday at the Lunglei District Commissioner Conference Hall to finalize plans for the event. The program was chaired by Organizing Committee Secretary & LMC, CEO Donny Lalruatsanga, who expressed his gratitude to the state government. This year, the Tourism Department has decided to conduct the Leitlangpui Music Festival in Lunglei. She emphasized the need of district, government departments, and numerous associations working together to ensure the festival’s success. The Tourism Department of the Government of Mizoram aspires to make Lunglei one of India’s most popular tourist attractions. Lunglei is one of Mizoram’s oldest towns.
The Leitlangpui Music Festival seeks to boost tourism. It aims to revitalize and promote songwriting and music composition, including both traditional and current music. The festival strives to create a lasting legacy while also benefiting the local community directly and indirectly. The event will only feature artists and bands performing their own original songs, promoting creativity and uniqueness. The Leitlangpui Music Festival will feature a Beat Contest, performances, food vendors, a museum, and cultural activities. The group intends to incorporate a variety of government departments, local communities, and organizations to improve the festival experience.
