In four districts of Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur and Chinglepet red alert has been issued as heavy rainfall drenched roads and subways in Chennai and its suburbs and on Thursday three people dead. On Thursday night Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin visited the flood control room of Greater Chennai Corporation to review. India reports massive daily spike rate of new cases

In India new cases have begun to surge with even the deaths have remained low. Where Mumbai recorded one fatality , Delhi recorded zero deaths due to Covid-19. The new variant has also resulted in high hospitalisation, even in countries with high vaccination numbers. The national capital on Wednesday had recorded 923 fresh Covid cases, the highest daily rise since May 30, as the positivity rate again breached the 1 per cent-mark (1.29 per cent).

According to a draft of the proposed population control bill, anyone violating the two-child policy in Uttar Pradesh will be debarred from contesting local bodies elections, from applying for or getting promotion in government jobs, and receiving any kind of government subsidy.
