Famous Tamil actor Vijay Devarakonda on Wednesday made an appearance in front of the Enforcement Directorate in relation with the investigation relating to sourcing of funds for his recent movie ‘Liger’. The actor presented himself in front of the ED authorities at the agency`s regional office in Hyderabad. The central agency is inquiring the intentional breach of the Foreign Exchange Management Act .
Displaying the actor Vijaya Devarakonda and actress Ananya Panday in the main role, the movie had big shoots in Las Vegas. It, however, bombed at the box-office. The ED started the inquiry after Congress leader Bakka Judson registered an F.I.R about the findings into the movie through questionable routes.
According to the reports, the liger actor is being questioned about the case. The ED authorities had roasted movie director Puri Jagannadh and actor-turned-producer Charmme Kaur on November 17.
The investigating agency doubts that number of companies had funded in making of the film. They were asked to give information of those who had remitted the money and how the payments were made to Hollywood actors like Mike Tyson and technical crew.
