Light rain in Delhi, as mercury dips

The mercury dipped to 20.4 degrees Celsius in the national capital on Tuesday morning.

The Meteorological Department has forecast light rain or drizzle with mostly cloudy skies later in the day.

According to information shared, Delhi recorded 18 mm rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday.

On Monday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.8 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 40.6 degrees Celsius.

Two people were killed and several injured, hundreds of trees were uprooted, road and air traffic disrupted and vehicles and buildings damaged, including the iconic Jama Masjid, as a severe thunderstorm and heavy rain lashed the national capital at 100 kmph on Monday evening. .
