LinkedIn reported ‘Loud learning’ is the new mantra for professionals in India to develop their skills

LinkedIn’s research indicates that professionals are encountering challenges in their learning journey due to the increasing reliance on AI for career advancement. Despite 80% of professionals in India saying that their company is doing enough to cultivate a culture of learning, findings show that over 9 in 10 (94%) are finding it hard to prioritise learning due to work and family commitments.

Loud Learning, the practice of being vocal and intentional about learning ambitions in the workplace, is gaining popularity among professionals in India. Around 81% of professionals believe this practice can help them dedicate time to improving their skills. The top three ways professionals engage in Loud Learning are sharing their learnings with teammates (40%), sharing their learning journey on LinkedIn (40%), and informing team members of their learning time blocks (35%). Remarkably, 64% of professionals in India are already engaged in Loud Learning.

LinkedIn research shows that 79% of professionals in India believe that engaging in ‘Loud Learning’ can support their career growth. Top barriers faced include a lack of time due to family responsibilities or other personal commitments (34%), busy work schedules (29%) and feeling overwhelmed by the amount of learning resources available (26%).
