Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Tuesday said it has secured a “significant” transport infrastructure development project in Dubai, UAE, under the Phase-1 Road development initiative undertaken by local authorities.
While the company did not disclose the order value, L&T classifies a significant order in the range of ₹1,000 crore to ₹2,500 crore. The contract has been awarded to L&T’s Transportation Infrastructure business vertical.
The project involves the upgradation of Latifa Bint Hamdan Street, a key road corridor connecting Emirates Road (E611) and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311). As part of the scope, the existing two-lane dual carriageway will be expanded into a four-lane dual carriageway in each direction to improve traffic flow and network capacity.
The project is scheduled for completion within 36 months and strengthens L&T’s presence in the Middle East infrastructure market.
