Mahindra Logistics Limited has expanded its footprint in Eastern India with the launch of two state-of-the-art Grade-A warehousing facilities, adding over 4 lakh sq. ft. of capacity. The Guwahati facility, North-East India’s largest multi-client warehouse, spans 3 lakh sq. ft., while the Agartala facility covers 1.3 lakh sq. ft., strategically serving Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, and Manipur. The move aligns with the company’s ‘Go-East’ strategy to strengthen regional supply chains, improve last-mile delivery, and enhance integrated logistics solutions.
Positioned as a gateway for cross-border trade with Bangladesh, is expected to significantly improve logistics efficiency in the region. From a market perspective, it enables faster fulfilment and just-in-time delivery for industries such as FMCG, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, and retail, while supporting exporters with reliable cross-border operations. Its strategic connectivity to key production and consumption centres positions as a critical logistics hub for the North-East and enhances trade potential across Eastern India.
Commenting on the expansion, Hemant Sikka, MD & CEO, Mahindra Logistics, said the facilities “redefine the logistics landscape in Eastern India, connecting tier-II and tier-III cities and supporting growth in remote regions.” The expansion is expected to generate over 2,000 jobs and strengthen the company’s pan-India warehousing and distribution network.
