Popular Bharatanatyam Guru Sri Ganeshan collapsed and breathed his last on the stage during an event in Bhubaneswar on Friday eve. Immediately the 60 yr old artist was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead by doctors.
“He collapsed on the stage and was rushed to a Hospital in Bhubaneswar, where doctors declared him dead,” Organiser, Jagabandhu Jena informed.
“It was the final evening of the Jayadev Samaroha. An eminent Bharatnatyam guru from Malaysia, Sri Ganeshan came to the event. He came to the stage to light the lamp and while on the main stage, he collapsed. Then he was immediately rushed to the hospital,” said organiser, Jagabandhu Jena.
