Manik Saha Initiates Tripura Bhavan Expansion Project in National Capital

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha inaugurated the foundation stone for the Extension Project of Tripura Bhavan on Monday, located at Bir Tikendrajit Marg, New Delhi. This significant development aims to bolster the infrastructure available to Tripura residents in the national capital, with a construction budget estimated at Rs 2.95 crore for the addition of six rooms and two hall rooms. The Chief Minister emphasized that this project will enhance the facilities available for individuals from Tripura visiting New Delhi for various purposes, including medical care, education, cultural initiatives, and business opportunities. Saha shared this commitment to progressive infrastructure, stating the goal of achieving a “Viksit Tripura” through improved services.

The foundation-laying ceremony was attended by several prominent figures, including Deputy Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly Ramprasad Pal, Rajya Sabha member Rajib Bhattacharjee, and various state ministers overseeing aspects of social welfare, higher education, and tribal support, among others. This initiative seeks to provide better accommodation and support for Tripura residents, government officials, and visitors in New Delhi. Moreover, the project underscores the government’s dedication to ensuring that the services offered are marked by comfort and dignity, while also promoting Tripura’s significance in the capital. This strategic enhancement of Tripura Bhavan infrastructure reflects an effort to make a lasting impact in terms of service provision for the state’s populace.
