Massive fire affected shop traders get Compensation cheques

The financial compensation cheques which is issued by the Chief Minister of West Bengal were handed over to the traders. The traders were affected by the massive fire in the Bidhan Market on Tuesday. The cheque distribution event held at the Siliguri Municipal Corporation. According to the report of the sources Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee in an administrative meeting announced that 9 each of the traders will get 1lakh and 14 traders will get 50,000 each.

The administrative meeting held at Uttar Kanya on Sunday where she order the SMC for the shop reconstruction. After today’s cheque distribution a meeting held with traders by the Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb. In the meeting Mayor Gautam Deb gave assurance to the traders for fast reconstruction of the shops before the upcoming Durga Puja. Mayor stated that the compensation to the the traders would be provided from the Mayor’ s relief fund.
