Alo Libang, MLA and Advisor to the Chief Minister, inaugurated the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) at Yingkiong in Arunachal Pradesh under the Swachh Bharat Mission, in the presence of Talo Jerang, Deputy Commissioner, Upper Siang District.
The facility will strengthen scientific waste management, promote waste segregation and recycling, and encourage greater citizen participation in keeping our towns clean and sustainable.
On the occasion, the Vendor Market at Yingkiong was also inaugurated.
Established under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, the market will provide local vendors and small entrepreneurs with an organised, accessible and dignified space to conduct their businesses.
“Supporting our vendors means strengthening the livelihoods of our families and contributing to the growth of the local economy. Inclusive development, self-reliance and public welfare remain at the heart of our commitment to the people,” the MLA said.
The Academic Building for Government Higher Secondary School, Yingkiong, was also inaugurated, further strengthening educational infrastructure and providing students with a better learning environment.
These initiatives mark another important step towards cleaner communities, stronger local livelihoods and better educational opportunities for the people of Upper Siang.
