Medanta Gurgaon Pioneers Treatment for Coronary Artery Disease and Kidney Ailments

The Medicity, Gurgaon, named India’s Best Private Hospital by Newsweek for six consecutive years, is not only advancing medical science but also influencing healthcare economics in India. Its latest initiatives in Itanagar emphasized the rising cost burden of untreated coronary artery disease (CAD), valvular heart disease (VHD), and interconnected conditions like Cardio-Renal-Hepatic-Diabetic Metabolic Syndrome (CRHD-MS).

According to Dr. Praveen Chandra, Chairman of Interventional Cardiology, early diagnosis combined with robotic-assisted procedures, TAVR, and minimally invasive surgeries reduces long-term expenditure by lowering hospitalization and post-treatment costs. Dr. Debabrata Mukherjee, Senior Director of Nephrology, noted that unmanaged metabolic disorders create a multiplier effect on health systems, increasing both family-level financial strain and community-wide healthcare spending.

With five operational hospitals and expansions in Noida, Delhi, Mumbai, and Guwahati, Medanta continues to position itself as a major player in India’s healthcare economy.
