Shri Jayant Chaudhary, the Hon’ble Union Minister of State (I/C), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India,visited the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) campus and interacted with the various other trainees and trainers under multiple programs.
Shri Jayant Chaudhary visited an exhibition featuring products created by jail inmates and successful entrepreneurs who completed EDP training under NIESBUD. The exhibits were displayed during ESDP programs at Lucknow and Varanasi Jail, showcasing the transformative impact of skill development and entrepreneurial training on inmates and reflecting NIESBUD’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship across various sectors.
The Minister met ex-servicemen undergoing the Entrepreneurship Development Programme at NIESBUD, sponsored by the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR), Ministry of Defence. The program aims to enhance the entrepreneurial knowledge and skills of retiring Armed Forces personnel, ensuring they can generate a gainful livelihood post-retirement. Over 3000 ex-servicemen have undergone EDP training at NIESBUD, recognizing their significant contributions to society in their new entrepreneurial roles. Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Union Minister of State (I/C), Ministry of Skill Development, Government of India, said “Our mission is to provide them with the necessary tools, support, and mentorship to succeed. Together, we can build a more prosperous and inclusive society”.
