Mirzapur: The Movie Box Office: Pankaj Tripathi Starrer Roars on Day 1, ₹50 Crore Weekend in Sight

Mirzapur: The Movie has started its box office journey on a strong note. The Pankaj Tripathi-starrer performed beyond expectations on its opening day, with particularly strong response coming from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Delhi. The film has reportedly registered Bollywood’s biggest-ever opening day for a non-star-led movie.

Before its release, trade experts were expecting the film to collect around ₹18–20 crore on Day 1. However, Mirzapur: The Movie managed to go past the estimate, earning ₹24.75 crore on its opening day. As per Sacnilk, the Hindi version generated most of the revenue, while the Telugu dubbed version contributed around ₹15 lakh.

The film’s gross collection currently stands at ₹30.180 crore. Track Tollywood reports that the movie has collected ₹3.49 crore so far on Saturday through 3,676 shows, with an occupancy rate of 17.2%. The film has also seen a strong response in advance bookings for Sunday, which have reached ₹6.22 crore with more than 2.13 lakh tickets sold.

With the film maintaining momentum at the box office, Mirzapur: The Movie is now targeting the ₹50 crore mark during its opening weekend.

Directed by Gurmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, the 2026 Hindi action-crime thriller has been produced by Excel Entertainment. The cast includes Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Jitendra Kumar and Ravi Kishan.

Based on the popular Mirzapur series, the film was released in theatres on September 4, 2026. It has received positive reviews from critics and is now looking to strengthen its position at the box office over the weekend.
