In Mizoram, a Myanmar national was arrested with heroin worth Rs 1.77 cr

In a major anti-narcotics operation, security forces apprehended a Myanmar national near the India-Myanmar border in Mizoram’s Champhai district and seized heroin worth ₹1.77 crore, officials confirmed on Saturday. The joint operation was carried out by the Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police based on specific intelligence inputs. The accused was intercepted while attempting to cross the Tiau River, which marks the international boundary between India and Myanmar. Mizoram CM announces historic increase in state’s cash balance
