Mizoram is set to modernize transport management by implementing an online border check-post module, aimed at streamlining entry tax collection for commercial vehicles. Developed with the National Informatics Centre, the system is ready for deployment, starting at the Vairengte check gate on the Mizoram–Assam border and the Kanhmun gate with Tripura, which are crucial for handling high commercial traffic volumes. This initiative will enhance fee collection efficiency, improve vehicular movement, decrease manual interference, and increase transparency, making Mizoram the 28th state in India to adopt a digital border management system.
