On Wednesday, MLA Akhil Gogoi was suspended by Biswajit Daimary, Assam Assembly Speaker.
According to the information, the MLA was found disrupting the proceedings. Gogoi was taken out for the duration of Question Hour by two marshals.The Sivasagar legislator had wanted to ask a supplementary question pertaining to the Education Department.
Due to this offence by Gogoi, Daimary ordered his suspension for the rest of the Question Hour.
“The rules of ‘andolan’ (protest) cannot be allowed inside the House. It has its own set of rules,” he said.
